Meet Zoë, our newest addition to the Lightswitch editing team!
Name: Zoë Holmes (she/they)
Role: Motion Graphics/Video Editor
Bio: I’m Zoë, and I’m an animator, video editor, and mograph artist located in Chicago, IL. I grew up in the southeastern United States, and I’m a lover of anything moving image. You can typically find me watching animation, cooking with friends, crocheting, or fawning over my cat Oubli.
Get to know Zoë:
What was the last TV show you binge-watched?
Sandman. I’m a big Neil Gaiman fan so it was a must-watch.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Typically I’m working on a craft project like sewing or crocheting, but I love a good video game session, a walk in my neighborhood park, and cooking with friends.
What’s your favorite season, and why?
I love the summer, partly because Chicago comes alive when it’s warm and sunny, and partly because I don’t have to wrestle a coat and boots…
What kind of music do you listen to?
Genuinely everything, from bluegrass to experimental metal to funk to dream pop to… the list goes on! But I’ve been listening to a lot of MUNA and Sofia Kourtesis lately.
What originally got you interested in your current field of work?
I loved animation growing up (think Wallace and Gromit, The Point!, and Coraline) and decided to study it along with film in college. Motion graphics quickly became a big interest of mine, since it combines creative animation with film and video editing structure.
